The purpose of this Policy is to clearly and concisely explain what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it, so you feel fully clued-up and in control of the data you share.

Types of data collected

1.    Personal data
There is certain data we need you to provide us with, to enable us to deliver our subscription service to you. This is our Lawful Basis of Processing.

Via the ‘contact us’ form on our website, by email, through the messenger services on our social accounts (Instagram and Facebook), or by telephone, if you choose to, you are able to provide us with:

  • Your email address

  • Salutation

  • Your first name

  • Your last name

  • Your postal address

  • Any other information you choose to send to us

This information is then stored under password protection.

We will never ask you for any financial information. All financial data is handled by our subscription payment platform MoonClerk, which can be found at Here, you can create a unique login for yourself on the platform, which can only be accessed by you and MoonClerk. The platform does not allow any staff members at The Paper Pioneers to view any of our users’ accounts, meaning we will never have access to your financial details. More information can be found at

2.    Usage data

We use Google Analytics to track and monitor traffic to our website, along with the tracking provided by our website provider, Squarespace. These two applications allow us to accurately track traffic acquisition (how visitors enter our site; if it’s via social media, a search engine or so on) and behavior (which is the user flow through our website, to see if there are any drop-offs at certain points, and to ensure that users appear to find what they are looking for quickly and effectively). Monitoring these metrics allows us to continue to improve our site for you. 

No personal data is captured. The data collected by these applications is:

  • Unique computer IP address

  • Geographical location

  • Browser

  • Operating system

  • Device type and versions

  • Which pages your visit on our website, how long you stay and what you interact with.

Methods and modes of processing

Looking after your personal data is of the upmost importance to us. The Paper Pioneers always take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorised destruction of the data. The data processing is carried out using password protected computers, mobile devices and IT enabled tools, following organisational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In some cases, the data as listed in the first section of this Privacy Policy may be made accessible to certain types of persons involved with the operation of our subscription service (administration, sales, marketing, legal or system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies or communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by The Paper Pioneers. An updated list of these parties may be requested from us at any time.


The data is processed at The Paper Pioneers’ operating offices, our employeed homes and on portable devices. All devices are password protected. Through our website host Squarespace and our payment platform MoonClerk, data transfers may involve transferring personal data outside of the UK. Retention time

Personal data collected for purposes related to delivery of our service is necessary to be retained until you decide to cancel your subscription with us.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.

Where possible, information collected automatically regarding your visit (unique computer IP address, geographical location, browser, operating system, device type and versions) will be deleted after 4 years.

Invoice and accounts records, including their digital equivalent, may be retained in identifying form for longer periods for accounting, tax and audit purposes depending on and in accordance with applicable UK law.

Your rights

At any time, you have a legal right to:

  • Withdraw your consent to our use of your personal data. You have the right to withdraw consent where you have previously given consent.

  • Object to our processing of your personal data. You have the right to object to the processing of your data if the processing is carried out on a legal basis other than consent.

  • Access, verify and amend your personal data. If at any point you wish to see a copy of the data we hold on you, details of how we use and store your data, or receive further details regarding your rights, you can request this from us via phone or e-mail using the details at the bottom of this policy. You always have the right to verify the accuracy of your data and ask for it to be updated or corrected.

  • Have your personal data deleted or otherwise removed. You have the right to request complete erasure of your personal data at any time. This does not affect any processing that has been carried out prior to your request being received. The only reason we would not carry out this request is if it would result in us being in breach of other legal or regulatory obligations we have, or if we believe we have a lawful basis to continue to do so, but we would always inform you at the time were this the case.
